     P. 33, 31, 7, for “Nineteen long miles” read “Nine weary miles.” The error here involved arose from the author’s ignorance of the difference between the direct route and the circuitous one Mrs. Secord was obliged to take until after the poem was in the press. See pp. iv. and v. of Memoir.

     P. 42, 10, 1, for “O’erpowers” read “O’erpower’st.”
