Editor

D.M.R. Bentley

D.M.R. Bentley is a Professor of English at the University of Western Ontario and the editor of Canadian Poetry: Studies, Documents, Reviews. A specialist on Canadian and Victorian literature, he has published extensively in both fields. Among his recent publications are Mimic Fires: Accounts of Early Long Poems on Canada (McGill-Queen’s University Press, 1995), an edition of Archibald Lampman’s Essays and Reviews (Canadian Poetry Press, 1996) and a study of The Confederation Group of Canadian Poets, 1880-1897 (University of Toronto Press, 2004).

R.J. Shroyer

R. J. Shroyer is an Associate Professor of English at the University of Western Ontario who specializes in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British literature. His recent publications include, with Thomas J. Collins, A Concordance to the Poems and Plays of Robert Browning (AMS, 1996).

Gord Nickerson
is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Information and Media Studies at the University of Western Ontario who specializes in Computer Networks, Management Information Systems and Internet Services. We are continuously grateful for Gord's generous gifts of time and technological expertise; the web site can progress only under Gord's gentle, patient gaze.

 

Jenna Hunnef

 

Jenna Hunnef has been a web assistant to the Canadian Poetry Project since October 2005. She received her BA (2007) and MA (2009) in English literature from the University of Western Ontario and will begin her PhD at the University of Toronto in September 2009. Jenna formats works ranging from early long poems to early twentieth century collections of poems, stories, and stage dramas. In addition to supplementing the existing material on the “Confederation Poets” page, she has engineered the “Edwardian and Georgian Canadian Poets” and “Closet Dramas” sections of the Canadian Poetry website and has been responsible for updating the online archive of Canadian Poetry volumes.

Julia Obert

Marybeth Curtin

Julia Obert was a researcher and web assistant for the Canadian Poetry Press. A graduate of Western's Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) Faculty Scholars English Program, Julia is working on her Master of Arts Degree at the University of British Columbia. Julia, and her exceptional contributions to the Press (May, 2002 to September, 2004), will always be remembered.

Marybeth Curtin, editor and researcher for the Canadian Poetry Press, was instrumental in organizing and indexing the "Poems in Early Canadian Newspapers" portion of the web site. Marybeth is a graduate of Western's Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) English Program '04, is currently attending the University of Ottawa's Master of Arts Program. Marybeth, and her remarkable contributions to the Press (September, 2003 to September, 2004), will always be appreciated.

Jane Powell

Melissa Harris

Jane Powell is currently an advisor to the web personnel and was the Webmaster of the Canadian Poetry web site until August, 2005. A graduate of Western's Bachelor of Education Program '03 and its (Combined Hons.) MIT/English Scholar's Electives Bachelor of Arts Program '02, Jane teaches English at the Intermediate/Senior level and has contributed to Canadian Poetry Press since May, 2002.
Melissa Harris is a researcher and web assistant for the Canadian Poetry Press and a graduate of Western's Political Sciences/ English Bachelor of Arts Program. Integral to the organizing and formatting of the "Canadian Architexts" and the "Poems in Early Canadian Newspapers" sections of the web site, Melissa has contributed to the Press since May, 2004.
